Tatlong Krus is located atop Mount Humarap in Paete, Laguna. It is a popular place for locals and visitors alike during Holy Week. They would hike up the peak to visit the three white crosses that mark the top of the mountain. It gives a nice view of Paete down below, surrounded by Mount Sembrano and Laguna de Bay. The locals have also developed the area to accommodate vacationers. They have set up cottages and comfort rooms for those staying a bit longer. There are also small shop where you can buy snacks and drinks.
Aside from this area, the Matabungka Falls is another attraction on the mountain. Go for a dip in the refreshing waters as you watch the falls cascade from a steep height. The water is cool, clean and only go up to your waist. So don’t miss out on having a swim!
The hike itself is very easy. You will have to cross some rivers and be surrounded by trees and shrubs. There are some steep parts on the way to the falls, but exercising proper caution will get you to your destination safe and sound. The path up the peak is well established, making it easy to follow. If in doubt, just ask a local for directions.

Tatlong Cruz is located in Paete, Laguna. From Manila, take a bus to Sta. Cruz. Once you get off, take a jeepney bound for either Siniloan or Paete. Either way, get off at Paete town proper. From there, you may opt to hire a trike or walk to Barangay Ilaya Norte. Proceed directly to the jump-off point, as this trek do not require permits or local guides.
Another alternative is to bring your own car. There are parking spaces available and this is much more convenient considering this is a very short trek.
