Acacia Hotel Manila is a five-star luxury hotel in the Philippines. We stayed there for one night and that's one of the best staycations we had! Here is our Acacia Hotel review.
Acacia Hotel Manila is located in the heart of Alabang, Muntinlupa City. Since we live in San Pedro, Acacia Hotel is not too far from our home. Its location is just perfect! There's a McDonald's right in front of the hotel, Jollibee, and other fast food restaurants. If you want to go to the mall, Alabang Town Center and Festival Mall is just nearby. If you don't have a car, you either walk or you can arrange a shuttle service from the hotel.
Unlike other hotels, the standard check-in time in Acacia Hotel Manila is 3:00 pm, and their check-out time is strictly 11:00 am. We arrived around 3:10 pm but it took some time because we can actually check-in. I booked our room a week before. However, the staff said she's still finding a room for us. I said, why is the room not ready when we booked it in advance? I waited for about 30 minutes standing there! And she couldn't explain why.
There's a parking area for guests at the basement. It is free of charge for the hotel guests provided that you will have the parking ticket validated. The hotel lobby is spacious, with high ceilings, well lit, clean, and nicely decorated. There are tables and big chairs where you can sit while waiting. The hallway going to the room is clean as well.
We booked for the deluxe room of Acacia Hotel for an overnight stay. I must say that I really liked our stay there. The room is so big and configured nicely - with 1 king size bed, a lot of pillows, telephone, cable TV, coffee/tea making facilities, refrigerator, and safe/vault. There is a spacious living room and spacious toilet and bath. I loved their bathroom because the bath tub is separated in the shower room. There are also complete consumable toiletries - soap, shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, lotion, dental kit, and even shaving kit.
The room is carpeted and Wyatt Maktrav loves walking around. There's a super big glass wall so you can see the view outside the hotel. If you don't want the sunlight, worry not because the curtains have 3 layers. The bed has soft pillows and the foam is just perfect - not too soft and not too hard either. I seriously loved our room here.
Who wouldn't want an internet access while away from home? I really need a good and stable internet connection because I still need to work even on a vacation. Good thing that Acacia Hotel has a fast internet connection. Its average speed is 7 mbps when I run the speedtest. They give access code to the guests for the wifi which can connect up to 4 devices. If you have a lot of device, you can just request another access code. The internet speed is good enough so we were able to do a lot of work while there. Not only the download speed is fast but the upload speed as well.
Acacia Hotel Manila has their own swimming pool, fully equipped gym, and spa. There is also a mini bar where you can order snacks while having your leisure time at the pool. Their outdoor pool is not too big but clean. The small pool for kids is 7 feet while the bigger pool is 5 feet deep. Our son enjoyed swimming too much even for a short period. We haven't tried their gym and spa though. We'll surely try it the next we go there.
The room we booked comes with a 3 or 4-course dinner at A Steakhouse and a buffet breakfast in Acaci. For the dinner, we chose the 3-course meal set. For the main course, we got the ribeye steak with mashed potato and grilled salmon with baked potato. The food is so delicious! I requested the steak to be well done and they cooked it perfectly. Their mashed potato is the bet one I ever tasted. I honestly loved their food there. The only downside is that you have to wait for too long. But it's worth the wait, I swear. Their buffet breakfast in Acaci is just average for me. There are typical breakfast food, salad bar, and pastries.
Overall, we really enjoyed and loved our staycation at Acacia Hotel Manila. Highly recommended hotel when you're in Alabang.
