I really love hiking and I have reached a number of mountain summits and camped there for a few days. What I have come to realize with my adventures is that the type of tent you use will always have a direct impact on how comfortable you will be while camping out there. As such, I have made it a point to go only for versatile tents that work well in both the cold and warm climatic conditions. In fact, I do always consult extensively before choosing any tent for my use. It is by doing so that I have been able to invite a number of friends to my escapades.
Last time, I was accompanied by my two younger cousins and wanted to teach them what it takes to be a hiker. And so, I went for the The North Face VE 25 tent that can comfortably accommodate 3 people.
I am not the kind of person who fears extreme weather and for this reason, I was able to convince my young kinsmen to join me. To begin with, I did the necessary preparations and encouraged them to go for the best gear. Of course I had to spend a little bit more money on them as they are still dependants in one way or another. Our ultimate choice was the The North Face VE 25, of which I thought was almost perfect, to say the least.
The versatility of this tent is something that is outstanding; the DAC stakes were simply great and because it comes with the pull cords it makes pitching the tent easier. I remember, we didn’t spend much time to get everything up and running. Furthermore, my little cousins were so happy and ready to learn the ropes of camping - I was only directing everything as per the manufacturer’s guidelines.

It also offers users the benefits of dual doors with front vestibule. As I can remember, there is no single day, in the 4 days we were camping, that we collided at the ‘door step’. They liked looking at the stars at night and the entry and exit was simply a breeze. Also, it comes with low-high venting feature which is a plus for anyone looking for an exceptional tent that offers better breathability.
The fully-taped nylon bucket flow was quite beneficial too; and was happy that this tent offered us a polyuerathane port window. The fact that the PU has been tested and proven to work is something that I really liked about the tent. Furthermore, with the The North Face VE 25, you will enjoy every benefit that comes with compatibility with a high quality square gear loft. If this is anything to go by, we were so organized that you could think we had arranged how we would store gear away prior to the camp. And with the youngsters around, I never had any trouble with the cleanliness or arrangements.
The reflective guylines came in handy and with the glow-in-dark zippers, I was amazed on how easy was it to get youngsters do everything correctly. I have come to believe that the features that comes with this tent helped me a lot to have my young cousins, who had never hiked before, find it pretty easy to get organized. Kudos to the designers and manufacturers as well! The style is something that I could recommend to any beginner camper, you will never spend lots of time pitching the tent or getting organized.
It is of utmost importance for you to know that with the The North Face VE 25, you get a 10000mm PU-coat finish and with this you will always sleep as peaceful as a newly born baby. Additionally, with a trail weight of 10Ibs 13 oz, you will never break your backbone. As long as you are physically fit, you will find it easier to carry the tent as you focus on your destination. It offers a vestibule areas of 5ft squared, a floor area of 48ft squared, and a no-see through mesh that comes in handy for persons who really need some kind of privacy while out there camping.
This tent can hold up in extreme cold temperatures and it is much better compared to others that fall in the same range. At the end of the day, you will save some money when it comes to extra warming gear. Nevertheless, make it a point that you do not compromise where you buy this tent. It serves better in cold and warm climates - it is a good buy every newbie hiker should go for.
You will have to spend a little bit extra money on this one, but it is worth every single coin spent.
